☆サイズ
本体／幅12㎝×高さ9.5㎝×厚み2.5㎝


キャンバス地のような柔らかめのイタリアンレザーの黒を使って、
手縫いで作った、ポケットに入るサイズの二つ折り財布です。
黒といってもスミクロのような色になります。

手前がフタつきのコインケース、奥が磁気カード用ポケットつきカード入れになります。

ポケットに入るサイズですが、見た目より入れることができます。
カードを10枚（合計厚み1㎝）、お札10枚、小銭数枚で財布の厚みは3㎝でした。

同じレザーで作ったコンパクト財布より少し大きめになります。
参考に紐タイプの二つ折り財布とコンパクト財布を並べてます。

同じ色で3ヶ月ほど使用した紐タイプを右側に並べてます。
まだざらっとした手触りですがしっとりとして、
色味が濃く変化してます。

※この形は内側の革の厚みの処理で
フタをまっすぐに閉じるために通常はお札入れの隙間をあけますが、
これはスッキリ見えるように閉じて、その代わりに少しコイン箇所を斜めにしています。
お財布を開いて右側のお札差込口と比べて左側を少し長めにとってます。


＜素材＞
TEMPESTI社製の植物タンニンなめし。
染料100％で染められた銀面に粗めの紙やすりで
縦横方向にこすられており、まるでリネンやキャンバス地のような
独特な仕上げを施されてます。
オイルバケッタ製法により、
深みのある濃い色への変化と同時にツヤが出てくる
経年変化を楽しめます。
お財布のように日常的に手で触れるようなものは
特にお手入れの必要はありません。

※注意
イタリアンレザーは発色がよく、他の革にみない色で魅力的な革ですが
色止め加工がされていないので、変色・退色・色移り・オイル移りなどの可能性があります。
色移りは、使い始めや湿った状態（汗など）でお洋服に移ることがあります。

※天然革を使用していますので、革本来のしわや傷、シミなどがございます。

☆Size

This is a foldable wallet that fits in your pocket, handmade using soft Italian leather in
black, with a canvas-like texture. Although it is called black, it is a color similar to
sumi-ink black.

The front has a flap-covered coin case, and the back has a card slot with a magnetic card pocket.

Although it fits in a pocket, it can hold more than it looks.
With 10 cards (total thickness 1 cm), 10 bills, and a few coins, the wallet’s thickness was
3 cm.

It is slightly larger than a compact wallet made from the same leather.
For reference, I have placed the string-type bifold wallet and the compact wallet side by
side.

A string-type wallet used for about three months in the same color is shown on the right.
The texture is still rough, but it has become moist to the touch, and the color has
darkened.

*For this shape, in order to close the flap straight, the inner leather thickness is usually
handled by leaving a gap in the bill compartment.
However, for a cleaner look, it is closed without a gap, and instead, the coin section is
slightly slanted.
When opening the wallet, the left side is made slightly longer compared to the bill slot on
the right side.


<Material>
Vegetable-tanned leather from TEMPESTI.
The grain surface, dyed entirely with natural dyes, has been rubbed with coarse
sandpaper in both vertical and horizontal directions, giving it a unique finish reminiscent of linen or canvas.
Through the oil-bucketa method, you can enjoy aging that introduces a rich, deep color
and shine over time.
Items that are frequently touched with hands, like wallets, do not require special
maintenance.

*Note*
Italian leather is vibrant and appealing with colors unlike other leathers, but since it is not
treated with color-fixing process, it is susceptible to discoloration, fading, color transfer,
and oil transfer.
Color transfer can occur to clothing when first used or when the leather is wet (such as
from sweat). Please be aware of this in advance.

*Since natural leather is used, there may be wrinkles, scratches, or stains inherent to the
leather.
Each piece is crafted by hand. There may be scratches that occur during the production
process, so please understand this in advance.

*For those with cat allergies… there are cats kept indoors.


＜補足＞
〇「天然の革」と「人工の革」の違いについてですが、
「天然の革」とは動物の革のことを指し、食用などで使用された後、残った皮をなめして加工し、素材としての革となります。
ゆえに天然の革は生来の傷や模様・シミ・シワなど表情がそれぞれあるので、一つとして全く同じものはありません。
魅力はエイジング（経年変化）で、お手入れで自分好みのツヤ感へ育てる楽しみがあり、長い間ご愛用頂けます。

「人工の革」は合成皮革といって、天然の革に似せて布地に合成樹脂を塗って固めるなどして作られた革になります。
お手入れは必要がありませんし、雨や水に強く、
安価に手に入りやすいですが、使い続けていくとひび割れをおこしやすくなります。


〇「なめし」とは、動物の皮から毛を除去したり、腐敗や乾燥を防ぐため、樹液や薬品を使って柔らかくする技術のことです。

「なめし」で主流なのが、「植物タンニンなめし」と「クロムなめし」になります。

「植物タンニンなめし」は長い年月をかけて、植物にあるタンニンを使い、動物性たんぱく質と結合させる方法のことで、古くは古代エジプトより行われてきました。
あまりにも手間がかかる加工法のため、日本では数社しか残っていません。
水に弱いので雨の日は使えませんが、環境や人に優しく、経年変化を楽しめることが魅力で、お手入れをすることで自分で革製品を育てていく喜びがあります。

「クロムなめし」とは、同じく天然の皮を使いますが、塩基性硫酸クロムと呼ばれる化学薬品でなめす方法で、100年ほど前にドイツで開発されました。
時間も手間もかからず、柔らかく頑丈なつくりの素材となるため、車や家具、服、靴など多方面で使用されています。
お手入れの必要もなく、水に強いですが、貴金属系薬剤のため、アレルギー体質の方には不向きです。
またタンニンなめしのように経年変化はあまり楽しめません。


〇オイルバケッタ製法とは非常に時間と労力がかかる伝統的な製法です。
牛脂などが革の奥深くまで浸透しており、色艶の経年変化が大きいのが特徴です。
