キャンバス地のような柔らかめのイタリアンレザーの紺色を使って、
手縫いでwash加工を施して作った
ポケットに入るサイズのコンパクト財布です。

普段は電子マネーが主な方や
ちょっとそこまでのお買い物など
最小限度の現金を入れるようなお財布になります。

またカード入れやコインケースにも使える
マルチケースとしても使用できます。

中に仕切り板を入れていますので
クレジットカードなど磁気カードを入れることができます。
不要であれば外すことでカードをもう少し入れることができます。

同じホックタイプのサンプルの紺に
お札やカード、小銭を入れました。

これでお札が6枚、
カードが磁気1枚、ほか3枚、
小銭が20枚程度が入ってます。

画像最後は同じレザーで作った二つ折り財布より少し小さめになります。
参考に紐タイプの二つ折り財布とコンパクト財布を並べてます。


＜素材＞
TEMPESTI社製の植物タンニンなめし。
染料100％で染められた銀面に粗めの紙やすりで
縦横方向にこすられており、まるでリネンやキャンバス地のような
独特な仕上げを施されてます。
オイルバケッタ製法により、
深みのある濃い色への変化と同時にツヤが出てくる
経年変化を楽しめます。
お財布のように日常的に手で触れるようなものは
特にお手入れの必要はありません。

※注意
イタリアンレザーは発色がよく、他の革にみない色で魅力的な革ですが
色止め加工がされていないので、変色・退色・色移り・オイル移りなどの可能性があります。
色移りは、使い始めや湿った状態（汗など）でお洋服に移ることがあります。
あらかじめ、ご了承ください。

Using a soft Italian leather in navy blue, similar to canvas fabric, hand-stitched and
wash-processed, this is a compact wallet that fits in your pocket.

It is a wallet for those who mainly use electronic money in their daily lives or for small
shopping trips, carrying only the minimum amount of cash.

It can also be used as a multi-case for holding cards and coins.

With a partition inside, it can hold credit cards or other magnetic cards. If not needed,
removing it allows you to fit a few more cards.

In the sample with the same snap type in navy, banknotes, cards, and coins have been
placed.

It can hold 6 banknotes, 1 magnetic card, 3 other cards, and about 20 coins.

The last image shows that it is slightly smaller than the bi-fold wallet made with the same
leather. For reference, a string-type bi-fold wallet and compact wallet are lined up.


<Material>
Vegetable-tanned leather by TEMPESTI.
The grain surface, dyed with 100% dye, has been rubbed in vertical and horizontal
directions with coarse sandpaper, giving it a unique finish reminiscent of linen or canvas.
Through the oil-bucketa method, you can enjoy aging with the leather gradually
developing a deep, rich color and a glossy sheen.
For items that you touch daily, like wallets, no special care is particularly necessary.

*Note*
Italian leather is attractive for its vibrant colors not seen in other leathers; however, since
it is not color-fixed, there is a possibility of discoloration, fading, color transfer, or oil
transfer.
Color transfer may occur when the item is first used or when the leather is wet (e.g., from sweat), potentially transferring to clothing. Please be aware of this in advance.

*Since natural leather is used, it may have natural wrinkles, scratches, or stains.
Each piece is handmade, so blemishes may occur during production. Please understand
this in advance.

With use, the color deepens (toward the right side in the images), and the texture
becomes glossy.

＜補足＞
〇「天然の革」と「人工の革」の違いについてですが、
「天然の革」とは動物の革のことを指し、食用などで使用された後、残った皮をなめして加工し、素材としての革となります。
ゆえに天然の革は生来の傷や模様・シミ・シワなど表情がそれぞれあるので、一つとして全く同じものはありません。
魅力はエイジング（経年変化）で、お手入れで自分好みのツヤ感へ育てる楽しみがあり、長い間ご愛用頂けます。

「人工の革」は合成皮革といって、天然の革に似せて布地に合成樹脂を塗って固めるなどして作られた革になります。
お手入れは必要がありませんし、雨や水に強く、
安価に手に入りやすいですが、使い続けていくとひび割れをおこしやすくなります。


〇「なめし」とは、動物の皮から毛を除去したり、腐敗や乾燥を防ぐため、樹液や薬品を使って柔らかくする技術のことです。

「なめし」で主流なのが、「植物タンニンなめし」と「クロムなめし」になります。

「植物タンニンなめし」は長い年月をかけて、植物にあるタンニンを使い、動物性たんぱく質と結合させる方法のことで、古くは古代エジプトより行われてきました。
あまりにも手間がかかる加工法のため、日本では数社しか残っていません。
水に弱いので雨の日は使えませんが、環境や人に優しく、経年変化を楽しめることが魅力で、お手入れをすることで自分で革製品を育てていく喜びがあります。

「クロムなめし」とは、同じく天然の皮を使いますが、塩基性硫酸クロムと呼ばれる化学薬品でなめす方法で、100年ほど前にドイツで開発されました。
時間も手間もかからず、柔らかく頑丈なつくりの素材となるため、車や家具、服、靴など多方面で使用されています。
お手入れの必要もなく、水に強いですが、貴金属系薬剤のため、アレルギー体質の方には不向きです。
またタンニンなめしのように経年変化はあまり楽しめません。


〇オイルバケッタ製法とは非常に時間と労力がかかる伝統的な製法です。
牛脂などが革の奥深くまで浸透しており、色艶の経年変化が大きいのが特徴です。
